You may have seen us mentioned or quoted in a number of newspapers last week as we spoke out about the assisted suicide storyline in ITV soap Emmerdale. We expressed our disappointment at the Producer’s decision to go down this route with character Jackson Walsh instead of showing how life with a spinal cord injury can still be fulfilling.
The episode, broadcast at 7pm on Tuesday 7thJune, has lead to a number of complaints to Ofcom regarding the suitability of the storyline during pre-watershed viewing time. If you have a strong view about how this storyline was portrayed, please email us your comments.
