2012 Open Weekend

London 2012 Open Weekend at Aspire

The Aspire National Training Centre is opening its doors on Sunday 26th July to host a Family Fun Day as part of London 2012 Open Weekend. The annual UK-wide celebration is just one way of counting down to the Olympic and Paralympic Games and, as a pre-Games Training Camp, Aspire was keen to get involved.

The Family Fund Day at Aspire will embrace this year’s theme ‘Open up’ - opening up opportunities for the public to participate in events across culture, sport, environment and learning. Activities will include an inclusive climbing wall, bouncy castle, face painting and taster sessions in Schwinn Cycling and Mums of Steel exercise classes which will be free to try out on the day.

Aspire’s Centre Manager, Rosie Williams, explained, “We are thrilled to be part of the London 2012 Open Weekend and look forward to welcoming the community to Aspire.  We want everyone to come along and experience our fully inclusive leisure facility and have the chance to try out something they might never have considered before.”

For more information, and to pre-book the taster sessions, contact Heather by email or call her on 020 8420 6710.
