Supporters brave the Cold
On a rather chilly Saturday afternoon just before Christmas a small group of dedicated Aspire supporters from the Basingstoke and Northampton offices of law firm Shoosmiths gave up their time to assist at a charity collection which took place before the Heineken Cup rugby fixture between London Irish and Brieve.
Having filled their buckets with coins of all denominations the Shoosmiths team got to watch the match before again collecting as the fans made their way home. Thanks to the amazing efforts of all collectors and the generosity of the fans on the day (definitely helped by a convincing home win and perhaps the odd pint of Guinness or two) Aspire raised just over £1,000.
Collections at sporting events are a great way for Aspire to raise vital funds. Perhaps you might like to organise a collection at your local club, or have contacts at a club who might allow us to come collect.
