Fundraiser of the Month
Making a Splash!
With money arriving daily following the tenth Aspire Channel Swim, we thought it was time to highlight another one of our fabulous swimmer’s achievements. Aaron Neal has been with the RAF for 20 years and completed his swim at RAF Odiham in Hampshire - home of the UK Chinook force.
Aaron wanted to raise awareness of Aspire and spinal cord injuries having been off flying duties for two years with back and neck problems. Shortly after starting the challenge, Aaron discovered he had suffered two strokes 15 months earlier. Undeterred he went on to complete the challenge, having trained for 5 months to ensure success. Aaron says “I wanted to prove guys with injuries can still achieve great things.” He was applauded across the finish line by station friends, his wife and mum and has raised an incredible £2,221.35.

It is still not too late to return sponsorship if you have completed the Aspire Channel Swim. Every £1 really does help to make a difference to our work and with your efforts and the generosity of your sponsors you can help to make this the most successful swim ever.
Registrations for the Aspire Channel Swim 2010 are not yet open but you can register your interest by emailing Rosie. Keep checking the Aspire Channel Swim website for further information as it becomes available.
