Biking for Beth
Inspired by an accident had by a close friend, Sam and Alistair Corbett, along with Dave and John Ferraby decided to cycle from Lands End to John o’ Groats to raise funds for an All Terrain off road wheelchair – the wheelchair equivalent of a 4x4. This will enable their friend Beth Monks to return to the outdoor fun lifestyle she loves.
Their ambitious target was £9,000, with any additional funds raised going to the Aspire Human Needs Fund to assist others who request our help. Amazingly they smashed their original target in less than 3 months and the sponsorship money continues to arrive.
They are completing the ride over Easter and as this article was written, they are on the road heading north. We are all crossing our fingers for the weather as there are currently deep snowdrifts in Scotland – now that will make for some interesting cycling!
