The British Gas Great Swims are the UK's most popular outdoor swims, with over 20,000 people taking part in 2012. With no lanes or chlorine, they are a fantastic opportunity to swim outdoors in historic and scenic locations across the UK, whilst raising money for Aspire. Distances include half a mile, one mile or two miles, there is a swim to suit everyone's ability!

There will be five Swims in 2013 (some dates still to be confirmed):

• London Swim in Victoria Dock - 31st August 2013
• East Swim in Alton Water Park, Suffolk - 22nd June 2013
• North Swim in Windermere - 14th to 16th June 2013
• Manchester Swim in Salford Quays - 20th July 2013
• Scottish Swim at Loch Lomond - 24th August 2013
   

Each swim takes place in a safe an supervised environment.  It's not a race, so it's up to you whether you do breaststroke while chatting to a friend, or front crawl your way to a fast time.
