Aspire will be interviewing eight potential candidates for a pilot project next week.
Whilst speaking at the IFI (Inclusive Fitness Initiative) seminar ‘Business case for Inclusion’ it became apparent that disabled fitness instructors were a rare breed. Aspire currently employ a team of seven fitness instructors in the gym at the Aspire National Training Centre, three of whom are disabled. By employing disabled people you also welcome disabled people and attract a new market of customers to your facility.
Aspire will lead a new project in partnership with YMCAfit, Remploy and the IFI to train eight disabled people as fitness instructors and provide them with a work placement to put into practice their new qualification. If successful we hope to provide similar courses across the UK and provide the fitness industry with qualified, experienced disabled instructors.
There are still a couple of spaces left on this course, for more details contact Tasha by email or on 020 8420 6716.
