Aspire Assistive Technology facilities upgraded by Active Assistance

Aspire has recently carried out a full audit of the assistive technology facilities we provide in Spinal Injury Centres throughout the country.  Our spinal services coordinator, Christine Robinson, and volunteer Chris Robbins, spent a couple of months travelling up and down the country to find out just what was needed.

As we all know, it only takes a couple of years before your laptop becomes obsolete due to the incredible pace of technology nowadays. Aspire are keen to ensure we always provide the most appropriate facilities so that people can access computers regardless of the level of their injury.

In order to do this we need to upgrade both our software and our hardware and thanks to generous support from Active Assistance we are able to do that now.  We will also be introducing four new mobile units which will give access to even more people in the Spinal Injury Centres.  If you would like to know more about our Assistive Technology facilities please do get in touch with Christine Robinson on 020 8420 6735.
