Aspire Continues to meet Investors in People Standard

Aspire has recently undertaken a review of the Investors in People Standard and we're delighted to reveal that, once again, we've achieved recognition.

Assessment consists of on-site interviews with trustees, employees and volunteers, as well as telephone interviews with staff and volunteers who work around the country.

Our post-assessment feedback shows that, as an organisation, we have some real strengths, including:

  • A clear and well focused sense of purpose - Injury to Independence - which is well linked well to our objectives.
  • A highly participative and consultative culture where people feel involved and that their views are appreciated.
  • Strong commitment to staff development, with encouragement given to people to continue learning, both for their own and Aspire's benefit.
  • A strong culture of continuous improvement - we take on board the feedback we receive and look to ensure that we use it to carry on making improvements.

Tasha Dyson, Aspire's Head of Operations, is delighted by our performance:

In looking to ensure that Aspire really does help take people from Injury to Independence we rely on our staff to consistently perform to the highest standards. In return, our staff can rely on Aspire, as an organisation, to fully support and encourage them in all aspects of their work. Securing Investors in People Standard shows just how highly Aspire regards those who work for us and allows us to continually evaluate and improve on our own performance. It's a fantastic achievement that everyone at Aspire is rightly proud of.
