Meet Ginny Knox - Aspire's Newest Trustee

We are delighted to welcome Ginny Knox onto the Trustee Board here at Aspire.  Ginny was until recently Managing Director of one of Ranks Hovis McDougall’s Divisions. She is an experienced marketing professional and has been responsible for managing and developing some of UK’s leading brands including Hovis, Bisto and Robertson’s jams.  If you were to spend an idle five minutes Googling ‘Ginny Knox’ it will not take you long to discover she is perhaps most famously known for removing the Golly from our breakfast tables…

Ginny has always been keen to get more involved within the community and give something back and is looking forward to working with Aspire.

‘I am delighted to be involved in such a genuinely worthwhile cause where you can really see the difference being made to people’s lives.’

She also feels that becoming a trustee of Aspire offers some really meaty challenges to get stuck into.  In her mind one of the key challenges is that so little is known about Aspire and spinal cord injury compared to better known charitable causes such as cancer research, international development and animal welfare.

She hopes she will be able to use her wealth of marketing knowledge and experience to help put Aspire and spinal injury in the public consciousness. This in turn should enable us to raise more funds so that our work has even greater impact.

Ginny is a keen botanical painter and loves to travel.  She is married with two children and spends many a cold afternoon watching her two boys battling out on the rugby field.
