Aspire National Centre beats the cold snap

The dedicated staff at Aspire have managed to keep the National Training Centre fully operational during the recent cold snap.  While other local leisure facilities closed early Aspire managed to stay open providing a service to our equally dedicated customers.

Tasha Dyson, Aspire's Head of Operations says ‘Keeping, the Centre open is a real priority for us.  Only today staff from our Fundraising and Services teams were out lending the Leisure team a hand to clear the roadway leading to our car park.  Knowing we are able to stay open in these conditions is fantastic as it means we can plan future events with total confidence that they're going to go ahead. So on this Saturday, whatever the weather, we're looking forward to hosting the first Fusion fitness classes at Aspire with our new Kranking bikes.'

These new Fusion Fitness classes are going to be a regular event at Aspire long after the snow has melted. The classes are designed to provide a full cardiovascular and upper body workout and will run alongside our already hugely successful indoor cycling classes. Krank cycles are fully accessible to wheelchair users and those with leg impairments so these Fusion sessions really live up to Aspire’s ethos of providing inclusive leisure facilities. The taster sessions on Saturday 16th January begin at 10am, 11am, 12 noon, 2pm and 3pm, with the sessions set to become a regular class from then on.
