Spinal Injuries Together

As a charity, we think it's important that our funds are spent where they are most needed and we're keen to ensure that we don't duplicate services that already exist.

We were delgihted then, when back in 2003 the five main Spinal Injuries charities came together to form the Spinal Injuries Together Consortium. Since then, these charities - Aspire, Spinal Injuries Association, The BackUp Trust, Spinal Research and Spinal Injuries Scotland - have kept in close contact, keeping each other informed of developments and working together where possible.

Last week, this strong relationship was reinforced when all the charities met up en masse. This was a chance to remind everyone of each charity's key services, and then get together to discuss future joint working initatives. With ideas and opportunies being raised on everything from fundraising events to joint campaigns, the future for SIT looks ever stronger.

We'll be working with our fellow spinal injuries charities to make sure that the collaborative working we discussed becomes a reality - and in doing so, we know that those with spinal cord injuries can only benefit from this shared expertise.
