Batman and Robin join the Aspire Summer Cycle
With petrol prices continuing to rise, even superheros are being forced to trade in their old gas-guzzling vehicles for more eco-friendly two wheeled options.

Batman and Robin, aka Luke Peace (Aspire Swim school co-ordinator) and John Cheasman (Aspire lifeguard), will swap their normal clothes and usual day jobs as they complete the 50 miles of the Aspire Summer Cycle on a tandem in full superhero costume. They are both training hard for the event, allegedly in costume, on the roads around Stanmore.
This ‘Special Assignment’ for Aspire will see Luke, John and lots of other Aspire supporters take to the roads of Hertfordshire on 20th July. Together, they're aiming to raise £10,000 in support of people with spinal cord injury. The Aspire Summer Cycle, now in its second year, is already firmly established as a key part of the Aspire fundraising calendar.
It's not too late to join the event and, if the full 50 mile superhero distance seems a little too daunting, there is always the slightly shorter 30 mile option.
