Assistive Technology Manager

Aspire’s Assistive Technology Programme ensures that anyone, regardless of the level of their injury, can independently use a computer. Our facilities are available in the specialist Spinal Injury Centres across the country and are vital for keeping patients in touch with loved ones, as well as for all those other things most of us take for granted when it comes to computers.

To ensure that the Service continues to maintain the high standards we’re known for, and to keep abreast of all the new developments that come up in the world of technology, we’ve just recruited a dedicated Assistive Technology Manager. Andrew Kell started at Aspire this week and will soon be getting to know our team of fantastic volunteers who work with the patients, teaching them to get the best out of the technology. He’ll also be working closely with the OTs and ensuring that the Service adapts to the changing needs and demands of those that are using it. However the Service evolves, its core will always remain the same – giving those with spinal injuries the independence to get on with their lives.

For Andrew, it’s going to be an exciting challenge:

“It is great to be joining such an inspiring team and I am very much looking forward to working with everyone to build upon what has already be done in Assistive Technology.”
