Sunday 12th July will see the annual Aspire Summer Cycle set off from the Aspire National Training Centre in Stanmore at 9.30. Riders will tackle either a 30 or 50 mile route around rural Hertfordshire whilst raising funds for Aspire.
Amongst those taking part will be Wonder Woman, Super Girl and Bat Girl, enjoying a weekend off from saving the universe. The girls will no doubt use their combined special powers to speed around the course before slipping anonymously away to their hideaways. Co-incidentally, Rosie Williams (ANTC Centre Manager), Claire Barrett (Kidz Zone Manager) and Beth Malin (Swim Teacher) are not working on Sunday and were unavailable to volunteer at the cycle ride. All were unable to explain their absence!
The Summer Cycle, now in its third year, continues to grow and this year aims to raise £15,000 for Aspire. It is still not too late to join our three celebrity riders, along with all the other Superhero fundraisers taking part. For further information you can contact Andrew by email or call him on 020 8420 8951. Every £1 raised really does make a difference to our work and you will be rewarded with a medal and goody bag at the finish.
Whatever Rosie, Claire and Beth are doing on Sunday we hope they enjoy their day off and are certain they will be sorry to have missed our three mystery Superheroes.
