Supported Housing
The Aspire Houses
Aspire's houses are always in demand; to meet the increasing need we will be opening more houses over the coming year and will be joint working with the Guinness Trust to provide more houses in the near future. These new properties have been selected in consultation with the Spinal Centres who have helped us identify areas where re-housing patients is always a problem.
Our current houses, and housing association partners, are located in:
- Edgware (2 properties) - Guinness Housing Association
- Glasgow - Margaret Blackwood Housing Association
- Penistone - Yorkshire Metropolitan Housing Association
- Coventry - Touchstone Housing Association
- Bushey - Guinness Housing Association
- Wakefield (2 properties) - Yorkshire Metropolitan Housing Association
- Southend - Estuary Housing Association
- Northampton - East Midlands Association
- Cardiff - Cardiff Community Housing Associations and Cardiff Accessible Housing
- Wakefield - Jephson Housing Association
- Brighton - Guinness Trust Housing Association
- Stoke (2 properties) - Aspire Housing Association
- Chippenham - Westlea Housing Association
- Liverpool - Guinness Northern Counties Housing Association
- Milton Keynes - Guinness Midsummer Housing Association
Aspire is delighted to be working with the Guinness Trust. Our partnership will see new houses made available to people with spinal cord injuries, ensuring that they can live independently from the moment they are discharged from hospital. Although the final locations of the Aspire-Guinness properties have yet to be finalised, the 'areas of immediate need' identified include:
- Sussex
- Southampton
- Bristol
- Bath
- Exeter
- Milton Keynes
- Chilterns
- Havering/Romford
- Chester
- Manchester
- Gloucestershire
