Early in October, on a blustery Sunday, a group from M&M Fix Auto took on the challenge of climbing Mount Snowdon to raise money for Aspire and the Air Ambulance.

Laura Rhead explains their motivation.  "The challenge was set following the owner of our very well established company being involved in a serious accident early this year. Our wonderful boss is still in hospital undergoing intensive rehabilitation and we, as a group, wanted to show our support and love to Mick by doing something as a team to raise money for a spinal injuries charity and also the Air Ambulance who were at the scene of the accident and airlifted Mick to hospital.

It was decided that we would set our selves the challenge to climb Snowdon and I stumbled across Aspire whilst searching for charities to donate to. I was overwhelmed and blown away by the charity and the volunteers involved."

"The lead up to the day was exciting full of anticipation. The original planned date of 1st October was unfortunately postponed due to the backlash of Hurricane Irma making it's way to the UK. We rearranged and the climb took place two weeks later.

A local company donated a minibus to get us all to the mountain and so we made our way to Wales on a cold dark early Sunday morning.  The weather was blustery, bitter and wet. The visibility was poor during the last hour of the climb and descent but we all dug our heels in and made it to the top where we enjoyed a celebratory drink before making our way back down."

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and raised just over £600 for Aspire!
