Scott Maclachlan, the Captain of Porters Park Golf Club in Radlett, chose Aspire as his charity of the year and on 17th June took on the challenge of playing 100 holes between sunrise and sunset.  Each round of 18 holes is about 5 miles, so the distance covered was equivalent to a Marathon.  Scott played with the Club’s Secretary Peter Marshall and there was a band of volunteers driving the buggy with the golf clubs and keeping the players fed and watered.

The anticipated total raised is a fantastic £2660.  Aspire would like to thank: Scott and Peter for taking on the challenge; David Holden for helping them out for the last few holes; all the volunteers who supported them on each round, and Barclays for their support and matched giving of £1000.
