Aspire, a national charity that provides practical help to people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury, held an exclusive event for their supporters at Brewer’s Hall in Central London on Tuesday 25^th March.  

Frank Gardner, a long standing supporter of Aspire, is the BBC’s senior Security Correspondent who was shot six times at close range whilst on assignment in Saudi Arabia in 2004 which left him with a spinal cord injury.  In 2005 he was awarded an OBE by Her Majesty The Queen in 2005 for Services to Journalism.

Following drinks and canapés, Frank Gardner spoke about his experiences with spinal cord injury and one of the guests John Inverdale, President of Aspire, took the opportunity to thank Frank Gardner and explain his ongoing commitment to the charity.
