The Aspire Channel Swim asks people to swim 22 miles in their local pool over 12 weeks to raise money for people with Spinal Cord Injury.

The challenge is free to enter and can be completed in any pool, individually or with friends and family.  Some participants even take on an extra challenge and swim to France and back, a distance of 44 miles!

Anyone can take part, whatever age, whether they are looking to get fit for the New Year, find a new challenge or take part in an activity that the whole family can get involved in.  The Swim is free to sign up to and everyone who raises over £25 will receive a medal.

Katy Boyd, Events Manager, says, “We are delighted to be launching our first ever January Swim, particularly for those swimmers who may be looking to take on a challenge as part of their New Year resolutions.  More than 600 swimmers have already signed up to swim to help change the lives of people paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury.”
