Aspire has received its highest ever ranking in the Sunday Times Best Not-for-Profit Organisation to work for at 26^th place after excellent reviews from staff.

For the past four years Aspire has been in the top 50 Best Not-for-Profit Organisation to work for, a list that assesses the quality and popularity of public-sector bodies, charities and housing associations in the UK.

This year Aspire’s 76 members of staff reviewed their role and workplace, and gave 83% positive reviews and 81% of staff say their jobs are good for personal growth. Due to high percentage of staff satisfaction, Aspire came in the top 10 of small organisations in the list.

In the past year Aspire’s services have continued to grow and we are helping more people now than ever before:

• Our network of accessible Aspire Houses has grown to 57 with the demand for more growing year on year. In 2016 we acquired six properties and since the start of 2017 we have gained four more.
• Aspire Grants helped part-fund 71 pieces of essential equipment in 2016 totalling £96,825 to help people move on from injury to independence.
• Aspire’s Welfare Benefits Service helped award £283,870.50 to people who were entitled to receive benefits. The team supported 194 clients with spinal cord injuries with expert advice, help in competing forms and applications, and preparation of evidence for appeals.
• Our 13 Assistive Technology volunteers held over 400 training sessions in nine spinal centres across the UK with newly injured patients.
