On Saturday 20th June 40 swimmers took on the brand new challenge of swimming from dusk ‘til dawn in support of Aspire and people with Spinal Cord Injury. The Dusk ‘til Dawn Swim is the first in the Aspire Night Swim series, in which swimmers take on open water challenges in venues around the UK.

Aspire, in partnership with Brutal Events, launched their inaugural Dusk ‘til Dawn Swim in Lymington Sea Water Baths, Hampshire. Both solo swimmers and relay teams took part over 12 hours, swimming from 7:30pm to 7:30am on the shortest night of the year, raising essential funds to help people with spinal cord injuries enjoy independence.

With swims taking place from local swimming pools to the English Channel and Loch Ness, Aspire is known for being the go-to charity for swimming events and now Aspire has set its sights on a brand new challenge - diving into the darkness in Liverpool, Birmingham and Oxford with the aim of raising a total of £31,000.

These wetsuit optional 750m and 1,500m night lake swims are taking place in September and October, making them the perfect end-of-season challenge for open water swimmers.
