Stories from people with Spinal Cord Injury living independent lives
‘It’s Our Lives’ is our third book and is a collection of inspiring stories from friends and family of people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury. It is sponsored by Aspire Law, Spinal Cord Injury Solicitors.
Our incredible, fearless fundraisers work tirelessly to raise funds for Aspire. Whether they swim, run, walk, cycle, push, bake, cheer or volunteer, they help us continue to fund our vital services which help people paralysed by spinal cord injury move on from injury to independence.
No one is prepared for how a spinal cord injury will change their life. Everyone we have worked with has their own story of how they were injured, what or who motivated them through rehabilitation and how they are now living with their injury.
Each year our fantastic swimmers raise much-needed funds to help people with Spinal Cord Injury, so we launched a blog and a newsletter solely about swimming. Whatever your level of swimming we hope you will enjoy it and find it inspiring.
Our Policy and Research team responds to changes in public policy, disability issues in the media and other issues affecting spinal cord injured people. This blog highlights issue relevant to disabled people, from housing and transport to the economy.
