Aspire’s services provide the practical support that can be needed by those who sustain a spinal cord injury.

The services we offer cover a range of areas and are available to new patients in the NHS Spinal Injury Centres, to those who have just been discharged from hospital and also to people who have been living with their spinal injury for years. Whilst our services are different in what they do, they all have the same goal – to help take someone from injury to independence.

Our services include:

Help with Accessible Housing
Our Housing Programme provides fully accessible properties around the UK that can be used on a short-term basis whilst someone is adapting their own property or hunting for a permanent accessible home.

Help with Independent Living
The Aspire Independent Living Advisors work in the Spinal Cord Injury Centres, providing advice and guidance to patients and ensuring they get the support and services they need.

Assistive Technology
Aspire's Assistive Technology facilities in the Spinal Cord Injury Centres ensure that everyone, regardless of the level of their injury, has independent access to a computer.

Welfare Benefits Advice
Our free, dedicated Welfare Benefits Advice Service is tailored to provide appropriate advice and support to people with Spinal Cord Injury.

Money Advice
Our Money Advice Service supports people with spinal cord injuries to take control of their debts offering free, impartial and confidential step by step guidance.

Campaigning
Our campaigning work harnesses the skills and knowledge that come from working with so many people with a spinal injury and advocates for positive change and improvement.

Aspire Grants
The Aspire Grants Programme is currently closed to new applications. We’ve been overwhelmed by applications this year and so, rather than leave people waiting for funding, we have taken the difficult decision to close our Grants Programme to new applications whilst we clear the backlog.
