Join us, for what promises to be another fabulous weekend of swimming.
Our 2011 swim saw 16 people take part in a weekend of swimming in the stunning English Lake District, in the quieter Western Lakes of Crummock Water and Buttermere.
The 2012 event will consist of a series of swims on Saturday and Sunday and will include optional short walks around Buttermere on Sunday. If you complete all swims during the weekend, you will cover a distance of between four and five miles. The longest single swim is just under 2 miles.
If you are looking for something a little more challenging than the local pool, this is an ideal introduction to open water swimming in one of the best settings imaginable. A great personal challenge that is certain to leave you wanting more.
Katy Torjussen, Aspire Lake District 2011 swimmer, says,"
A brilliant introduction to open water swimming at the same time as raising money for Aspire. A beautiful part of the country to swim in, great to meet like-minded people and the support is always there from fellow swimmers and the guides from Swimtrek. If you want something to train towards, this is an amazing challenge to do."
Places for the challenge are limited, so if you would like to take part, or would like further information, email Andrew or call him on 020 8420 8951.
