Hydropool Devon is opening its showroom doors on Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th October to welcome swimmers, water lovers and kind hearted folk to contribute to an ambitious endurance effort: swimming 22 miles in its luxury Hydropool swim spas, the same length as a Channel crossing, as part of the Aspire Channel Swim challenge.

A swim spa is best described as a cross between a swimming pool and a hot tub. Using powerful jets, it creates a continuous current to swim against, providing the experience of open-water swimming in a compact, temperature-controlled pool.

Aspire is particularly close to the hearts of all at Hydropool Devon following a sudden and unexpected accident that left company director David paralysed at the beginning of a major course of rehabilitation.  As is so often the case in many times of hardship, David’s strength and resilience inspires the Hydropool Devon community to come together and support the independence of others that have sustained injuries.

Elly, co-founder of Hydropool Devon, said:

Our lives changed dramatically when an accident left David paralysed from the neck down. We are now adjusting as we continue with our businesses and family life in this new reality. But what has really helped us though is the amazing support of our community, and it’s time to pay back some of that kindness by creating a feel-good event that supports this amazing charity. We really hope to see some of Devon’s lovely people in our showroom… bring your swimmers!

The showroom will be open from 9am to 5pm on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th October, and from 10am to 5pm on Sunday 5th October. To register your interest in taking part, email [email protected].

Hydropool Devon offers luxury hot tubs and swim spas manufactured at Hydropool HQ in Canada, combined with the personal and friendly service of a small Devon business and their sister company is Hydropool Bristol.

To mark the charity swim weekend, the showroom will also be offering exclusive ex-display savings on self-cleaning hot tubs and swim spas, giving anyone inspired by the event a chance to bring the benefits of hydrotherapy and home exercise into their own garden.
