Leaving a legacy

At Aspire, we rely greatly on our supporters leaving gifts in their wills - and every legacy, no matter the size is invaluable in helping us to help people living with a spinal cord injury.

Since 2011, three people have left Aspire a total of £217,000 which went towards providing specialist equipment, including wheelchairs, to spinal cord injured people, giving them greater independence and changing their lives.

By leaving a gift to Aspire in your will you can make a lasting difference to future generations who will inevitably call upon our services. What is more, gifts in wills to charities are free from inheritance tax, which could benefit your loved ones.

At Aspire, we understand that providing for family and friends comes first, so we appreciate our legacy donors who have included Aspire in their wills. Thanks to them we've supported thousands of people across the UK who have sustained spinal cord injuries. It can be challenging to face uncertainty alone. Your legacy provides the training, technology and tools to support people with spinal cord injuries.

How to make a legacy donation

If you already have a will, it is easy and inexpensive to add a codicil. However, whether you are adding to an existing will or having a new one drawn up, we would recommend that you get advice from a solicitor.

You are under no obligation to tell Aspire if you are leaving a gift in your will, but if you do let us know it means that we will be able to thank you.

If you have any questions, please email Hannah on [email protected] or call 020 8420 6731.
