Get involved Challenge events Virgin Money London Marathon 2021 The 2021 Virgin Money London Marathon will take place on Sunday 3rd October 2021. We encourage everyone interested in running to firstly enter the public ballot which opens on Sunday 4th October 2020. If you are lucky enough to secure your own place then we would be delighted if you choose to run for Team Aspire. We will support you from day one with your training - we can supply you with training plans, tips on avoiding injuries and make sure you're at your best on the big day. We'll even make sure you're kitted out with an Aspire running top for you to wear proudly on the big day! We also have a small number of Aspire charity places available in the 2021 marathon. If you would like to apply for one of these email [email protected]. "I just wanted to say a huge thank you for giving me the opportunity to run the London Marathon for Aspire. It was a brilliant experience that I will remember for a very long time, and made even better knowing I was raising money for such a worthwhile charity. Thank you also for your weekly emails and for all of your encouragement in the cold winter months when the last thing I often wanted to do was put my trainers on and hit the pavements! It really did make a difference." - Roger, 2019 On the day The London Marathon has one of the most spectacular race routes in the world. Passing some of London's most iconic landmarks, runners will cover over 26 miles before finishing on the Mall alongside St James's Park. You'll have the whole fundraising team cheering you on from the sideline at Mile 17 to help you get through those last few miles. Your impact On average, each of our marathon runners help two people move on from injury to independence.
