National Fitness Day is the biggest and most visible annual celebration of physical activity of the year and will see a huge range of free events and taster sessions take place across the country on Wednesday 27th September.

National Fitness Day sees the nation celebrate the fun and thrills of physical activity. Throughout the UK, more than 20,000 free events will take place in gyms, leisure centres, parks, high streets, schools, universities and workplaces as over one million people lace up their trainers and embrace being active for the day.

Aspire has many fitness challenges for its fundraisers and supporters to sign up to, the biggest of which is the Aspire Channel Swim, which this year has over 6,000 people swimming 22 miles in their local pool over 12 weeks to raise funds to support people with Spinal Cord Injury.  The challenge takes place from  11th September to 4th December and it is not too late to sign up and take part, just go to www.aspirechannelswim.co.uk.
