I sustained a spinal cord injury 19 years ago due to a car accident.  Since then, I have adapted to life in a wheelchair. In my free time, I love travelling and exploring new places, as well as spending time with friends. I am fortunate to be surrounded by a wonderful community. I have also developed a passion for creativity, learning to play new instruments and completing an internship in a media department where I learnt skills in photography and videography—skills I now enjoy combining with my love of travel. I also love music and enjoy going to concerts. I like to keep active by going to the gym or swimming regularly and taking walks out in nature

Currently, I am pursuing a degree in counselling, building on many years of experience in the helping profession. My career has spanned roles in youth work and supporting deprived communities, which has deepened my commitment to making a positive impact.

The Independent Living Advisor (ILA) role immediately appealed to me as I have personally benefitted from their support during my rehabilitation. It also aligns perfectly with my professional background in mentoring and helping roles, making it a natural next step in my journey.
