We’ve had a busy few months in Housing with the team working hard to increase the number of our accessible properties.

The last couple of months have seen the addition of six more houses. We now have properties in Birmingham, Hayes, Oxford, Leamington Spa, Exeter and Surrey. This takes the number of our properties to a total of 53. This means that we are able to help more people whilst they find a permanent home.

Like all our existing properties, the houses have been adapted in order to be accessible to all levels of Spinal Cord Injury. Features include height adjustable sinks, rise and fall worktops in the kitchen and a fully accessible wetroom. As well as this all of our properties come fully furnished from teaspoons to tea towels so our tenants are able to move straight in.

Aaron, who has recently moved into the Exeter property says, "I cannot thank the team at Aspire enough who, in providing me with purpose-built accommodation have given me back not only my independence but my life. The accommodation provides for all my needs with its wet room, the well-designed kitchen and big spacious bedrooms. The location of the flat also means I can get into the town centre in under 10 minutes and enjoy all the facilities it has to offer. Once again I would like to thank everybody at Aspire."
