On Saturday 8th November, we held our annual Swim Dinner to celebrate the outstanding swimming and fundraising achievements of this year’s open water swimmers.

In 2025 we had seven successful Relay Channel crossings, two successful Solo Channel swims, 31 Solent swimmers, 3 Sealand swimmers and one relay as well as the first ever woman – Rebekah Kefford - to swim from the Red Sands Forts to the Kent coast.  Other swimmers took on the Scilly Swim Challenge, Swim Serpentine and Hellespont. In total our incredible 2024 swimmers raised over £344,455 to support people with spinal cord injuries.

The event was held at the Village Hotel Watford with attendees including many of this year’s swimmers, our boat leaders, boat pilots and other representatives from the swimming community. Following a welcome drink guests enjoyed a three course meal and presentation of awards for their swimming achievements.  The guest speaker was Cliff Golding, who talked about his own inspiring journey to swimming the Channel.

The raffle on the night raised £1,000.  We’d like to thank all those who donated a prize: Funkita, Batoko, Wild Moose, Zoggs, Lomo, Outdoor Swimmer and Dr Mig Abide.
