This year’s Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day will be held on Friday 21st May 2021.  Together with Back Up, SIA and Spinal Research, we jointly celebrate this day every year to raise awareness of Spinal Cord Injury in the UK.

This Friday we will be reflecting on the past year which has presented us with unprecedented challenges.  We will be talking about the impact that Covid-19 had on people with Spinal Cord Injury and how we were able to adapt our services so that we could continue to support them.

Every four hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury.  Through our services we offer practical support to the 50,000 people in the UK affected by a spinal cord injury, from newly injured patients in hospital and throughout their lives to enable them to live independently.
